Diagnostics

Effective treatment comes from the best in diagnostic procedures and equipment. Our clinic has the following

Dental Diagnostic
Dental Diagnostic
  • Panoramic X-Ray
  • RVG-Radio Visio Graphy—digital X-Ray
  • Cephalometric X-Ray for Orthodontic Treatment
  • CT Scan before Implantological Treatment
  • Intraoral Camera
  • Bacteriological and Mycological Examinations
  • Histopathological Examinations—Biopsy’s and segment testing

Patients have access to modern X-Ray machines

  • The RVG meters a minimal radiation dose which enable risk free X-Rays to all our patients. This includes children and pregnant women. Purchased in 2006 it meets all restrictive requirements of the European Union regarding minimized radiation doses.  It uses a high frequency transducer produced by Finnish company, Planmeca.
  • Panoramic X-Ray-This allows the assessment of the complete dentition state. The maxillary sinus and and temporo-mandibular joints included. A special accessory in the Planmeca design enables it to take effective cephlamorphic X-Ray pictures. These are needed for orthodontic treatment. Radiation dosage can also be minimized for use with children.

Diagnostics before Implantological Treatment

Patients accepted to qualify for implants need to have a specialist analyze their upper and lower jaw using a CT scan. Operating with the Diagnostic Centre, Scan Med, our patients can avoid long wait times for these scans. Technicians are able to replicate a 3D image on a computer at the patients request. This gives them a chance to see and understand the process of implants.

Intraoral Camera

The intraoral is used during when performing an examination. An LCD display screen is on the dentists chair and the patient may request to watch the dental procedures take place.

Microbiological and Histological Tests

When deemed necessary we can perform tests for bacterial infections and mycotic infections. Surgeons can also perform tissue removal (histopathological) for the purpose of further testing.
